Reiki is not a therapy...but a Way of Life.
This Japanese tradition has been passed down from Mikao Usui through Reiki Master Teachers over the years.
This is shown in the Lineage Chart.
Once you first learn Reiki the Reiki Master Teacher will issue you with a Reiki Manual which is yours to keep and work with.....Upon completion of the course and homework!......A Lineage Chart and Usui Certificate will be presented.
Every level of Reiki also includes the precepts which are used with Meditation practices to aid in bringing balance.
So you can see how this all slots in very nicely with the Reiju's and energy exercises we practice before we start to Self Reiki.
Once we have then brought balance to our own lives,we then move onto Pair work.
Symbols and Mantras were introduced to help students focus and allow a deeper meditation practice.Thus aiding Mindfulness in the student.
