The Thyroid and Reiki.

If you have ever been told you have an under active thyroid or over active thyroid and you would be on medication for the rest of your life then I have some news for you!

I have had an under active thyroid for around 7 years.I too was told I would be on medication for the rest of my life!

I built up onto the correct level of medication to keep my thyroid functioning at a balanced level.For 6 years this dosage has remained the same!

I started to go for Reiki treatments in the early years as I could not believe if your thyroid was misfunctioning the only way to stabilise it was to medicate the thyroid.

Three years ago I decided to learn Reiki for myself....passing my level 1 ...then my level 2.....I quickly adapted a daily Reiki/Spiritual energy exercise ritual.My thyroid was tested two months after I had passed my level 2,yet still remained the same.

For the next 16 months I would self reiki and complete my energy exercises/meditation at every opportunity.....Somewhere along that path I lost the need for a blood test (knowing it would get better/not worse) and left the Reiki to do it's thing!

For a while I had been wondering if as fast as I could Reiki my energy and cleanse my system,the medication was counter acting my energy work.I had also started my Reiki masters course.....So 16 months later I went for a blood test.

My Doctor confirmed my Thyroid was reacting to Reiki! We were now over medicating my thyroid (after 6 years of the same dose) and my medication has been reduced. We are now closely monitoring the reduced medication and how my thyroid now reacts to this.

My Doctor stated it would be very interesting now and to keep doing what I am doing!

Finally - we have a breakthrough! somewhere within that 16 month period my thyroid levels started to come more into balance by themselves again.

Medical evidence to support my own Reiki path is fantastic and such an incentive to Reiki at every opportunity .

If you are getting Reiki treatments for a medical condition - please get checked by your doctor,as any reduction in any medication will help the Reiki work better/faster rather than counter acting the treatment.
